Did you know active duty military and overseas civilian voters get a bit of extra time to cast their ballot? As a result, ballots from overseas are (ironically) the first ones to arrive in our office each election. Liz, Hayden, and Grace are excited to receive a ballot from every pin on their map!

Together, we tackled emergency scenarios, strengthening our preparedness to protect the rights and safety of our voters. We are proud to be part of a county that prioritizes unity and proactive measures.
A big thank you to the Delaware County EMA, Board of Commissioners, Communications, Sheriff’s Office, IT, and Prosecutors offices for taking part in this, and to Emergency Preparedness Coordinator Kindred for facilitating!
The Delaware County Board of Elections conducted a hand count audit of the May 2, 2023 Special Election.
Though the board is only required to audit 5% of ballots cast from a random draw of polling locations, our bipartisan teams opted to perform a hand count of every single ballot cast in the election. Our findings showed that each ballot was tabulated correctly and exactly matched the results shown in our Official Canvass.
In spite of the early hours, Delaware County’s fantastic poll workers are ready to serve our voters with a smile on their face!
